CallCloud vs Trellus: Standalone Dialer or Inside Your Sales Platform?
Trellus is a parallel dialer that runs inside another platform, such as Salesloft, Outreach, HubSpot, Apollo or Google Sheets, and meters bridged minutes through a pooled allowance with a 4-cent overage rate. CallCloud, which makes this site, is a standalone web dialer with a flat $125 seat and unlimited calling. At a typical pace of 210 dials a day, Trellus costs $149.99 a month and CallCloud costs $125; at a heavy pace of 2,000 dials a day, Trellus runs $819.59 and CallCloud stays at $125. The choice comes down to where your reps want to live: inside the sales platform they already use, or in a dialer that stands on its own and does not meter minutes.

Bills are one seat, month to month where sold, on the calculator's model (answered calls billed as one minute each on a per-minute meter). Spam protection, pick-up and the toolkit are what each vendor states, not our own tests. Read from each vendor's pages on 2026-10-09.
The table below lays out prices, the bill at three dialing paces, lines, calling allowance, spam protection, the pause on pick-up, the calling toolkit, numbers, setup, billing, trial, integrations and fine print.

What the Bill Does at Different Paces
The two plans sit close together at a normal pace and far apart at a heavy one.
A rep doing 100 dials a day pays $125 a month on CallCloud and $149.99 on Trellus. A rep at 210 dials a day, the typical rep day from CallCloud's own fleet, pays the same two figures. That is where the resemblance ends.
At 600 dials a day Trellus reaches $266.87, because the $149.99 license carries a pooled allowance of 3,000 Bridged Minutes a seat a month and charges $0.04 per additional Bridged Minute above it. A Bridged Minute, in Trellus's definition, is a billable minute a call leg is answered, connected or bridged, and provider rounding applies, so the metered figure is a floor. CallCloud stays at $125 with no fair-use ceiling and no overage rate.
At 2,000 dials a day, the heaviest pace, Trellus runs $819.59 a month, or 2.0 cents a dial, against CallCloud's $125, or 0.3 cents a dial. Over a first year at 210 dials a day, one rep costs $1,500 on CallCloud and $1,799.88 on Trellus. A five-rep team at 210 dials a day pays $625 on CallCloud and $749.95 on Trellus.
One more Trellus detail matters: the fine print says that above a pooled allowance Trellus may restrict calling or permit continued usage at $0.04 a minute, and that running out of credits does not itself authorize that charge. The pricing page also displays $34.99 beside $149.99 without explaining what the smaller figure represents, and a standard credit-based subscription includes 2,500 Calling Credits per paid seat per week only when that allowance is expressly offered at checkout.
Where Each One Lives
Trellus does not run on its own. It dials inside a platform such as Salesloft, Outreach, HubSpot, Apollo or Google Sheets, and markets itself to reps working call tasks and sequences inside their CRM or sales engagement platform. If your team already runs its day in one of those platforms, Trellus keeps the dialer in the same place as the tasks.
CallCloud is a browser-based parallel dialer that stands alone and describes itself as built for lean sales teams and solo reps. It connects to seven platforms, including HubSpot, Salesloft, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Zoho CRM, Gong and GoHighLevel, with two-way CRM sync. Trellus lists thirteen integrations, including Attio, Close, lemlist, Amplemarket and Apollo.io. Note that CallCloud also sells a separate Power Dialer Extension for Salesloft, Outreach and HubSpot at $60 a seat a month, but that is a single-line power dialer, not a parallel dialer.
Among the 18 vendors this site tracks, three need another platform or account to run: DialSheet, WAVV and Trellus.
Daily Attempt Limit
Trellus caps a rep at 2,000 outbound call attempts per user per day on Power and Parallel, unless otherwise agreed in writing. CallCloud publishes no daily attempt limit, and its calling is unlimited with no fair-use ceiling.
The cap is generous: it sits at the heaviest pace this site models. But a team that wants to run past it, or wants no ceiling stated at all, will prefer the plan without a published cap.
Spam Protection and the Pause on Pick-Up
CallCloud states all four spam protections on its Parallel Dialer plan: caller-ID rotation across a pool of numbers, number-health monitoring that watches each number's pickup rate, automatic resting and replacement of flagged numbers, and branded caller ID. This site has not tested any dialer; these are the vendors' own claims.
Trellus states caller-ID rotation, automated as reps dial, with eight additional phone numbers, and lists eight additional numbers plus spam remediation without specifying how a flagged number is remediated. Number-health monitoring and branded caller ID are not stated. Across the dataset, only two vendors state all four spam protections on every plan: CallCloud and Klenty.
On the pause, both vendors say the rep is live the instant a prospect answers, with no screening pause. CallCloud publishes a median pickup-to-connect time of 119 milliseconds; Trellus says VoIP servers cause a delay on pickup for parallel dialers and puts its own delay at 300 milliseconds. Both are among the five vendors that publish a connect time, and both are among the ten that state the rep is live the instant a prospect answers.
Toolkit and Coaching
CallCloud's plan includes voicemail drop, local presence from the number nearest the prospect's area code, call recording, automatic transcripts and summaries, AI pre-call research briefs, and manager live-listen and coaching analytics. It does not state voicemail detection. Do-not-call tools are included, honoring DNC lists and enforcing calling windows in each prospect's local time zone.
Trellus includes voicemail drop, call recording and a running transcript during calls, though its current pricing page does not specify a recording allowance or assign transcripts to a particular tier. Live coaching sits on its custom-priced Business plan as customizable real-time coaching. Voicemail detection, local presence and do-not-call tools are not stated. Trellus also lists unlimited AI practice calls and real-time call guidance among its highlighted features.
Verdict by Team Type
Reps already living in Salesloft, Outreach, HubSpot or Apollo: Trellus. Dialing inside the platform your reps already work in is the whole point, and thirteen integrations give it the widest platform reach of the two. Accept the meter: at 210 dials a day it costs $149.99, and know that past the pooled allowance Trellus may restrict calling or bill $0.04 a minute.
Lean teams and solo reps at a normal pace: CallCloud. $125 flat, unlimited calling, no fair-use ceiling, no daily cap, and it runs on its own with a 3-day free trial.
High-volume teams at 600 or 2,000 dials a day: CallCloud, by a wide margin. The bill is $125 against $266.87 at 600 dials and $819.59 at 2,000, because a flat seat beats a metered pool at heavy paces.
Questions
Which one is cheaper for a normal rep?
At 210 dials a day, CallCloud costs $125 a month and Trellus costs $149.99, both month to month. Over the first 12 months that is $1,500 for CallCloud and $1,799.88 for Trellus. The gap is real but modest at a normal pace; it widens fast above it.
What happens if my team blows past Trellus's allowance?
Trellus meters bridged minutes, and a Bridged Minute is a billable minute a call leg is answered, connected or bridged, with provider rounding applied. Past the pooled 3,000 minutes per seat a month, Trellus may restrict calling or permit continued usage at $0.04 per additional Bridged Minute, and its fine print says running out of credits does not itself authorize that charge. The modeled bill at 600 dials a day is $266.87 and at 2,000 dials a day is $819.59.
Does either dialer screen calls before connecting the rep?
No. Both state the rep is live the instant a prospect answers, with no screening pause, and both publish a connect time: 119 ms for CallCloud, 300 ms for Trellus. Neither is among the three vendors that screen each answer before connecting, or the three that let the customer choose.
Can I try before I buy?
CallCloud publishes a 3-day free trial. Trellus publishes a free trial without stating its length. Both sell their parallel plans month to month with no seat minimum, so neither locks you into a term.
What if my reps hate leaving their sales platform?
Trellus is built for that case: it dials inside Salesloft, Outreach, HubSpot, Apollo or Google Sheets and logs calls to the CRM automatically. CallCloud is a standalone web dialer that syncs two ways with seven platforms instead, so reps dial in the dialer and the CRM updates behind them. If staying inside the platform is non-negotiable, Trellus fits; if a standalone dialer is fine, the flat $125 seat costs less at every pace this site models.
