CallCloud vs Orum: Which Parallel Dialer Should You Buy?

CallCloud, which makes this site, publishes its price and lets you buy one seat month to month; Orum publishes no price at all and requires a nine-seat annual commitment. That is the whole decision for most teams: CallCloud costs a flat $125 a seat a month with no seat minimum and a 3-day free trial, while Orum asks you to request a quote, sign an annual term and bring at least nine seats. Both are web dialers that connect the rep the instant a prospect answers, and both offer unlimited calling, but Orum's quote-only pricing and annual contract make it a product you can only evaluate through a sales process. The table below shows the side-by-side details, built by this site's code from each vendor's own pages as of 2026-10-09.

Price and terms

CallCloud's Parallel Dialer is $125 a seat a month, month to month, with no setup fee and no seat minimum. The bill is the same $125 whether a rep runs 100 dials a day or 2,000, because calling is unlimited to the US and Canada with no fair-use ceiling and no overage rate. The first 12 months for one rep at 210 dials a day is $1,500, and five reps cost $625 a month.

Orum publishes no price anywhere on its pages. Every bill in the table is "price on request," at every dialing pace. You learn the number only through a demo or quote. Orum also says pricing is per user and billed annually, with the term set in the order form; its published terms allow termination for specified cause, such as an uncured material breach after 30 days' notice, but do not specify a general right to cancel for convenience. There is no month-to-month option.

What the nine-seat minimum means for a small team

If you have fewer than nine people dialing, Orum's stated minimum means you either cannot buy it or you pay for seats you do not use. A three-person startup, a solo rep, or a team of five is not Orum's buyer on the terms it publishes. The annual billing compounds this: even a nine-seat team cannot try a month, measure results and walk away. Orum does offer Ascend Limited seats for less-frequent callers like AEs, but only alongside Ascend, and it does not publish the allowance or the price for those seats either.

Lines, calling and numbers

CallCloud's Parallel Dialer dials on 5 lines with unlimited calling, one local number included per seat and extra numbers at $2 a month. Orum's Ascend plan dials on 10 lines with unlimited calling on paid plans, but Orum does not state how many numbers are included or whether there is a setup fee. Both vendors state their dialers run on their own, with no other platform or account needed. Across the 18 vendors this site tracks, only 8 sell a seat with at least 5 lines month to month, and CallCloud and Orum differ mainly in that Orum's extra dialing capacity comes wrapped in an unpublished annual price.

Spam protection

CallCloud states all four spam protections on every plan: caller-ID rotation, number-health monitoring, flagged numbers rested or replaced, and branded caller ID. Only 2 of the 18 vendors in this dataset state all four, each on every plan, and CallCloud is one of them.

Orum states three of the four: automatic number rotation, daily reputation checks on every Call From number backed by a Hiya partnership, and remediation for flagged numbers, with persistently flagged numbers retired and replaced. Branded caller ID is not stated. Orum's protections are real and specific, but branded calling is the gap, and the three protections it does state have to be weighed against a price you cannot see until you talk to sales.

The pause when a prospect answers

Both vendors state the rep is live the instant a prospect answers, with no screening pause. CallCloud publishes a median pickup-to-connect time of 119 milliseconds. Orum publishes a median connect time of 0.7 seconds, and says the rep is bridged in before the prospect knows they were auto-dialed. Only 5 of the 18 vendors publish a connect time, and these two are both in that group. This site has not timed or tested either dialer; these are the vendors' own published numbers. Note that a G2 reviewer, Zak B., reports a noticeable lag while Orum's AI Voice Detection determines whether an answer is a human or voicemail, a claim that is the reviewer's, not Orum's, and not scored here.

Calling toolkit and integrations

The two toolkits overlap heavily. Both include voicemail drop, call recording, AI call notes, live coaching and do-not-call tools. The differences: CallCloud has local presence but no voicemail detection; Orum has voicemail detection but does not state local presence. Orum's live coaching comes through Live Listen, with AI Coaching as a separate paid add-on. Orum highlights AI detection of people, screeners, voicemail and phone trees across more than 20 languages, plus AI lead prioritization. CallCloud highlights AI pre-call research briefs, two-way CRM sync and manager live-listen.

Integrations: CallCloud lists 7, Orum lists 6. They share HubSpot, Salesforce, Gong and Salesloft; CallCloud adds Pipedrive, Zoho CRM and GoHighLevel, while Orum adds Apollo and Outreach.

Who each suits

CallCloud suits lean sales teams, solo reps and any team that wants to start with one or two seats, pay monthly and scale up or down. It is the only choice here for teams under nine seats, and its 3-day free trial lets you test before paying.

Orum suits SDR and BDR teams of at least nine reps that call at high volume, want 10 lines, want AI detection of voicemail and phone trees across many languages, and are prepared to sign an annual contract negotiated through a quote. Its free trial is capped at 500 dials with no stated duration.

Verdict

For a small team or any buyer who wants a published price and no annual commitment, CallCloud wins by default: it is the only one of the two you can actually buy that way. For a nine-plus-seat team that needs 10 lines and advanced answer detection, Orum is worth the demo, but go in knowing you cannot compare it on price without a quote, you cannot cancel for convenience under its published terms, and its published connect time is 700 ms against CallCloud's 119 ms.
